Hi, I’m Erik, a software developer with a passion for exploring concepts in computer science and software engineering. My interests vary widely, but I’ve worked on projects involving web development, machine learning, OS development, computer graphics, and more. I enjoy learning new technologies and applying them to solve interesting problems.
Most of my projects start because there’s something I want to understand. Rather than only reading about it, I tend to build a small version myself. That’s how Mini-8 turned into RospOS, a project that eventually involved designing an ISA, writing a VM and assembler, defining an executable format, and experimenting with a compiler.
I especially enjoy systems programming, computer architecture, graphics, and GPU computing. A lot of the fun for me is finding where my original mental model was wrong - whether that’s an awkward ISA design or a renderer spending almost all of its time moving data rather than computing, and then figuring out what the machine is actually doing.
I primarily work in Python and Svelte, but I have worked with C and C++ as well. I enjoy learning new programming languages and frameworks, and I’m always looking for new challenges to tackle.
If you’re interested in learning more about my projects or want to connect, feel free to reach out!
